*This is my personal opinion and have no intention to hurt any community or person, directly and indirectly.

Tax payer term essentially need some glamour and one should be proud of being a tax payer, but in my country a tax payer always have the sense that tax from his hard earned money after working 10 Hrs. a day will be transferred to foreign bank accounts of ministers and politicians and a small percentage of it will be used for nations development which will be insufficient while some of it will be spent on giving reservations to the people of some community, such a thought process ends in frustration he will be left with no option either to look for an opportunity to settle somewhere else for a better living and to give their children a fair opportunities in education and jobs which will not be based on the class, cast or religion.

Reservations, the only word I am sick of listening every time I turn on a news channel and  I wonder who are these people agitating and why they need reservations, what actually are they doing for the county in some or another way that they need reservations.

I personally feel two words I mentioned above Tax Payers and Reservation does go well along with each other but the word reservation really makes me feel uncomfortable as it challenges my capability; to me it’s just like accepting a dowry so in my opinion this word RESERVATION needs a new definition and according to me what the best suites me is BENIFITS. Benefits of being a tax payer.

Since I am a salaried employee, so I have a different perspective and line of think other than the business communities.

3W’s, who, why and where a tax payer should get benefits as he is contributing a part of his income in the development of this country.

Huge structural changes with minimal efforts will be required to give benefits to the deserving; as its not wise to put all the apples in the same bucket so I think that benefits should be given based on the annual tax an individual contribute from his income. Similarly the benefits should also be quantified and categorized in different segments, i:e a person who pays more amount of his income should get more benefits in some other way.

Benefits should be categorized in medical treatments in all private and public Hospitals by providing better services and rooms and waving or minimizing the service tax. Admission fees/ tuition fees in school and colleges should be waved off or the percentage of admission fees should be reduced as per the annual tax you pays. More trips in public transport facilities or longer validity of travel pass and service tax should not be charged from the customer who are using non-public transport be it private taxis, flights, railways. Similarly service tax on luxury item should be reduced as per the returns they file, those who pay more tax should have less luxury tax as they deserve luxury. Entertainment tax should be waived of as the person who is paying taxes have every right to enjoy without shedding more money so that he can save more.

Similarly home loans on low interest and waving off Service tax, sales tax from customer pocket and reducing registry charges up to 50% for the 1st property and increasing a substantial interest rate on 2nd property.

Low Car loans interest rates and less tax on Vehicle till the government provides a top class transport infrastructure for the public.

All these benefits should be applicable to a family of 3-4 for a single tax payer in a family while increasing the limit in case the number of tax payers are more than 1 in a family.

These are few benefits which will make us a honored to be a tax payer.
